Summer Learning Joerney – Octopus Oddities – Kick Start

Today’s Summer Learning Journey project required us to select an octopus, color it online, or print it out with markers and coloring pencils. colored this online using thecolor.com. chose musky octopus since think they’re cool and it’s one of my favorite varieties. learned that musky octopuses only survive for one to two years on the deep sea floor and that each one has three hearts and nine brains. had great time working on this project because octopi are my favorite marine animal.

Summer Learning Joerney – Animals With Superpowers

For my Summer Learning Journey, I created a critter/creature with its own superpower. I had to think about what special ‘powers’ I want it to have based on real animal changing. Create its features.  I thought about a few ideas like controlling the elements, but I decided on superspeed and flying because it suited the animal I chose — a Capybara. I liked imagining an a small Capybara with cheetah prints  gliding really fast through the sky.

This activity was really fun to do, and it’s a great choice if you like using your imagination. It was relaxing, creative, and I enjoyed every part of making my creature.
